Winners of Round 1, Cross Country Competition
On the 28th of September pupils from 2nd to 6th class travelled to Kilnaboy for the annual first round of the primary schools cross country competition. Despite the wind, rain and mud our spirits were high and we were looking forward to a great day out. We joined with Kilmaley and Connolly School to make up our parish teams. Our day got off to a flying start with our under 8’s winning individual and team prizes. This winning trend continued for the rest of the day culminating in us securing the overall prize for the best parish for the third year in a row. Well done to all our brave boys and girls who ran their hearts out in very challenging conditions. We are very proud of all of you and we look forward to the next round in Lees Road in November.
