STEM in Inch School
It has been a busy term so far with pupils from all classes engaging in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).
We have learned all about magnets, electricity, forces and shape and space. We predicted, investigated, recorded our results, designed and drew conclusions from our experiments.
Pupils learned how to magnetise objects, create a car powered by the push and pull force of magnets and create their own electromagnets and burglar alarms to name but a few experiments.
Pupils investigated the different nets for cubes and discovered that there were 11 formations.
They also worked cooperatively to build towers made from spaghetti and marshmallows. In the process pupils discovered that triangular shapes offered the most support and strength and that the leftover marshmallows tasted delicious!!!!
